Standards
for Excellence
Self-Assessment
The
self-assessment
checklist is
designed to be
used in
conjunction with
the Standards
for Excellence
code of ethics.
Take the
following steps
to assess your
organization
against the 58
best practice
Standards and
develop a plan
to address your
opportunities
for change:
-
Download the self-assessment checklist and print it out.
-
Using the online or printed version of the Standards for Excellence code ...
-
mark Y beside each Standard your organization currently meets;
-
mark N beside each Standard your organization does not currently meet;
-
or mark O beside each Standard that you are in the process of meeting, are not sure of meeting, or meet part of the Standard.
-
Identify the areas around which you can make changes that are easy to institute in the short term.
-
Identify the areas that may require a long-term plan.
-
Call OANO for support and technical assistance. OANO members are eligible to receive educational resource packets developed for the Standards for Excellence for their internal use.
We also
gather the
results of
self-assessment
worksheets to
improve our
training and
development
programs and to
share with other
trainers around
the state.
Please fax your
self-assessment
to OANO
(614-280-0657)
if you would
like to assist
us in gathering
this important
information
about Ohio's
nonprofits. In
return, we will
provide you with
up-to-date
results of the
checklist
exercise,
compiled from
our statewide
workshops, that
you can use to
benchmark your
own
organization.
