OANO's Public Policy Working Group
The Public Policy Working Group advises and assists OANO staff in developing and implementing the strategies and activities recommended by OANO's Board of Directors. The group is composed of no more than 25 executive directors or senior staff of member organizations, consultants who represent member organizations, and other stakeholders in Ohio's nonprofit sector.
The role of the public policy working group is to:
- Monitor and share information on current policy issues and identify issues that could or should be addressed in a proactive manner.
- Coordinate to ensure complementary efforts and, to the extent possible, ensure that Ohio's nonprofit sector is speaking with a unified voice
- Enhance OANO's capacity to respond to issues by engaging a broad group of volunteers in public policy activities.
- Develop responses and strategies to issues as they arise.
