Description:
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana is in
search of a Full-time Development Officer in the Northeast Ohio
(Cleveland) region. The ideal candidate will have had proven success in
identifying and cultivating strong donor relationships and will be
responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to solicit
individual, and community prospects and donors for major gifts, ensuring
a strong base of ongoing financial support for the Make-A-Wish
Foundation of Northeastern Ohio. The Development Officer is expected to
cultivate, solicit, close, and steward active prospects and identify,
qualify and cultivate new prospects for the Foundation with major gift
giving capacity. Additional responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, special event planning, external and internal event
oversight, and corporate sponsorship. The ideal candidate must also have
excellent communication skills; ability to articulate the Foundation's
mission and charitable giving vehicles to a diverse group of
constituents.
Interested candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree in a related field; 5-7 years fundraising experience with a proven record of success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding annual, special or major gifts from individuals, corporations or foundations strongly preferred.
