Qualifications:
Master’s Degree preferred or a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with
significant experience including at least 5 years of leadership with
managing multiple program areas, as well as in-depth experience with
fund raising, grant management, supervision, and development

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Board Relations
• Support the orientation process and the development of the Southwest
Ohio Regional Board, including identifying and recruiting new Regional
Board members and engaging all members
• Strengthen connection between the agency and Regional Boards’
involvement in both programmatic and fundraising efforts
• Facilitate Quarterly Regional Board meetings
Fundraising and Development
• Develop and implement strategies to secure ongoing significant funding
sources; play an active role in fundraising; cultivate and solicit key
donors, working in partnership with board members when appropriate
• Create targeted efforts to increase fundraising from all donor
segments – foundations, corporations, government, individuals and board
members, as well as special programs and events
• Market agency programs and engage corporate and community partners,
Board members and staff in development-related initiatives
• Build relationships with regional funders in order to develop fundable
proposals for agency programs
• Prepare proposals for grants and other program correspondence/reports
Regional Partnerships
• Develop key relationships and new projects that bring additional
resources to our agency
• Develop strategies to expand programs throughout Southwest Ohio
• Maintain, promote and provide visibility for Children’s Hunger
Alliance by serving as a credible, articulate and effective
spokesperson, in person and in writing; reinforce and build positive
understanding of and reputation for the work of the agency; serve as a
spokesperson and advocate for the agency’s clients
• Develop relationships and strengthen agency presence in Southwest Ohio
• Develop collaborative relationships and expand resources for Southwest
Ohio operations by engaging community leaders, foundations and
corporations
• Participate in relevant community partnerships and collaboratives
General Management, Finance and Administration
• Ensure day-to-day operations and programs in Southwest Region are
professionally and efficiently organized and administered
• Plan, organize and direct multiple complex projects with specific
timelines ensuring goals and objectives are consistently met
• Manage Cincinnati and Dayton office operations
• Develop Cincinnati-based Regional volunteer program
• Develop annual strategic plan and budgets for SW Ohio Region
• Direct supervision of Dayton Program Coordinator; responsible for
hiring, retaining and termination of staff when necessary, overall
performance and professional demeanor of the entire staff. Manage and
nurture staff members.
