Responsibilities:
Child and Adult Care Food Program- Afterschool
(CACFP-AS)
• Maintain the integrity of CACFP within agency by following Federal and
State CACFP guidelines
• Work directly with other CACFP staff to achieve annual USDA CACFP
objectives and goals
• Responsible for the monitoring of the USDA CACFP including:
• Assist in training key staff of centers
• Preparation and review of files
• Plan, schedule and conduct monitoring reviews
• Follow-up from monitoring reviews (corrective action or closure of
review)
• Able to provide own transportation to travel for monitoring reviews
• Provide technical assistance related to CACFP
• Activities related to the annual updating of participant forms
• Organize and track annual application forms from centers
• Provide technical assistance with new center start-up and approval
process
• Track, calculate, and follow-up with monthly recordkeeping paperwork
submitted by centers
• Daily communication with centers and food vendor to coordinate food
delivery and food orders
AmeriCorps
• Meet with Southwest AmeriCorps members individually and in group
settings to monitor and provide feedback about service year
responsibilities and goals
• Observe members programming and provide feedback
• Approve member paperwork, timesheets, mileage reports
• Assist in the development of member workplans and provide oversight to
projects, assigning additional work as needed
• Interview and select AmeriCorps members to serve in the Southwest
region
• Build relationships and support the outreach of nutrition and fitness
programs in youth-serving organizations in Southwest region
Development
• Coordinate and lead Southwest Regional events including Panerathon,
Summer Field Day and Community Cares Weeks
• Assist in development and operations of new fundraising activities
• Collaborate with Children’s Hunger Alliance corporate partners and
staff to execute cause related development campaigns such as Lunch Money
for a Day and Building Blocks
• Create materials and systems necessary to complete existing and future
event and campaign plans
• Track and report results and opportunities for improvement of these
plans
• Work to meet or exceed fundraising goals of each event and campaign
• Manage the Southwest Region agency volunteer program including
coordination, placement, recognition, etc.
• Function as a team member by working as an integral part CHA by
assisting with additional duties as assigned, to further the goals and
mission of the agency.
